Evers & Co. Real Estate, (http://www.eversco.com) the largest woman-owned and -operated residential real estate firm in the Washington, D.C. area, welcomes three new agents--Claire Welsh , Catherine Arnaud-Charbonneau and Courtney Abrams--to the team of more than 80 real estate professionals.
"Historically, real estate has been a path for career changers with established networks, but we're seeing more young professionals choose real estate as their profession," said Donna Evers, president and broker of Evers & Co. "The younger agents enjoy the entrepreneurial opportunity and have success through networking in their social circles, as well as through social media, and often partner with a more seasoned agent to further grow their expertise. Claire Welsh, Catherine Arnaud-Charbonneau and Courtney Abrams are shining examples of young women who seize success in this industry."
With nearly eight years of real estate experience at the age of 28, Welsh previously worked with McWilliams-Ballard selling high-end condominiums and townhomes in and around the District, including the area's top-selling community. Based in Evers & Co.'s Dupont office, she will focus on neighborhoods in Northern Virginia and Northwest D.C. Welsh has lived in the D.C. area her entire life and is working toward a certification in sign language, which will help her guide home buyers and sellers in the deaf community. She is active in the National Association of Realtors and works locally with Arts for Autism, an organization that helps families with special needs children. Welsh graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in liberal studies and a concentration in business ethics
Arnaud-Charbonneau has four years of industry experience and focuses on working with clients in Northwest D.C. and Montgomery County, as she pursues her license in Virginia. She has lived in the D.C. area most of her life, but has moved from country to country and state to state, making her specifically adept in working with families relocating to the city. A native French speaker, Arnaud-Charbonneau also speaks Spanish and enjoys applying her high energy level to personal client service. Based in the Chevy Chase office, she is active in the National Association of Realtors, the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors and the Maryland Association of Realtors. She graduated from the University of South Carolina's broadcast journalism program--one of the best in the nation.
Abrams joins Evers & Co. from the commercial side of real estate, formerly working as a research analyst for CB Richard Ellis, Inc., where she tracked the office market, studied real estate trends and worked with brokers. She also has experience in marketing and sales through a previous position at the Washington Business Journal. Joining the Abrams-Finnell realtor team at Evers & Co., she will work in the Chevy Chase office and focus on downtown D.C. and specifically the Glover Park neighborhood, while pursuing her Maryland license. A native Washingtonian, Abrams now lives in Chevy Chase, D.C. and coaches youth lacrosse in her free time. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Washington, promoting literacy in the D.C. metro area. Abrams graduated from Denison University where she was an NCAA Division III All-American in lacrosse and led her team to the NCAC Championship in 2006 as captain.
